Menu

Hi there and welcome to this week’s guide for what to get up to this week in and around Fife.

As usual, we’ll have a pub, restaurant and a few gigs to go to at the weekend.

Pub of the week

The Earl David Hotel, Bar and Restaurant

“The Earl David Hotel, Coaltown of Wemyss.

It was named after David Earl, the second Earl of Wemyss and was built in 1911, and has been the heart of the village for many years.

Owners have come and gone many bringing the community together but some that never quite had what was needed to bring the pub back to the villagers and become the heart of this community, which has been a detriment to a building that is steeped in history.

It is our mission, to bring a village pub back to life and bring new guests and customers into our village and our lives and maybe even decide to stay!”

“Cantonese & Peking Cuisine.

Maxin located in the centre of Kirkcaldy represents the essence of Chinese cuisine, simplicity, fresh produce, creativity and unique flavours.

Serving a variety of delicious Chinese dishes, the menu is fresh, light and features a selection of luxurious Cantonese cuisine delights.

“Probably the best Chinese restaurant in Fife. It is well worth booking a table because of this, it can be very busy, especially on weekends. Plenty dishes to choose from but I would recommend the lemon chicken – outstanding!”Outstanding.”
